Childrens Bedding: Boys Nursery Décor Ideas from The House Queen

I love decorating nurseries for baby boys…
I love their expressions as their senses are stimulated from different textured blankets, rugs, and toys we often get so many of as baby shower gifts. A nursery is a place for peaceful dreaming and exploration, and as their official interior decorators, we can make a boy’s nursery as magical and sensational as we like.
Little baby minds are just learning to understand their world through touch, sights, and sounds. Let’s start with this in mind as we pick our theme. Living Textiles has a number of great themes. Take the Little Farm theme for example. What could you do with this décor to excite your baby’s senses?
Sight
A lot of your baby’s time will be spent in his crib gazing upwards to all the things in his line of
vision. Living Textiles has created a Little Farm Mobile set as part of their farm collection. On the walls in this theme, we have wooden animal plaques and removable décor stickers. When he gets a little older, say when he’s three and he likes trucks over farm animals, we’ve got him covered! The wall décor by Living Textiles is so perfect for a nursery that they’ve become top selling baby gifts.
Sounds
What noises do farm animals make? There are so many toys and themed music collections that can fit your theme!
Touch
The House Queen has you covered on all your baby’s tactile delights. Each baby blanket, each cot sheet or other bed linen has a different feel and look to it. The Little Farm collection includes a full size cot bumper, cot comforter, sheets, a three-piece comforter and sheet sets for a bassinet or a cot, and even a valance bed skirt.
Making the Room Perfect

Start by considering what home furnishings will be included in this room. An armoire or bookcase is great in a child’s room, because you can showcase your Little Farm bed linens and Living Textile stuffed animal collection. We also have animal bookends as part of the living farm collection. However, for a nursery, keep safety as a number one priority—if a bookcase can be pulled over at all, consider instead making your own built-in bookcases or installing floating shelves from high off the ground. These things can easily be done through your general hardware store. Conclude by adding curtains and window valances in complementary colours to achieve the look!
