Thinking about Redecorating a Teen’s Room?

Teens are in that stage where they have developed a more adult sense of sophistication, but undoubtedly gaining more independence, and this goes for their interior decorating ideas.  Your teen son may be asking if he can paint his room solid black or your teen girl a neon purple.  While not all teens are eccentric decorators, most will be more appreciative of having a room that doesn’t speak young child anymore, and The House Queen is here to help!

Decorate Together as a Gift to Your Teen

Redecorating a room can be quite an undertaking, and while we can still make every step of it fun and enjoyable for both you and your teen, why not dedicate the room as a unique gift such as a birthday gift or Christmas gift for your son or daughter that you can work on together.  That way other relatives and friends can pitch in with their own decorating gift ideas letting you stretch your dollars for the most important pieces like luxury bedding or duvet covers, painting, curtains, and cushions. Someone else may be able to contribute an area rug, sheets, pillows or a quilt.

Find Inspiration
